A long time ago, there was a very kind and wise man named [Noah](TRFMTXJW). God chose [Noah](TRFMTXJW) because he always listened to Him. One day, God told [Noah](TRFMTXJW) to build a huge ark—a giant boat—to save his family and all kinds of animals from a great flood that was coming. [Noah](TRFMTXJW) trusted God, so he got to work right away, even though it seemed like an unusual task!

1

The ark was enormous! It had to fit two of every kind of animal, big and small. [Noah](TRFMTXJW) and his family worked hard, hammering nails and cutting wood day after day. Neighbors scratched their heads, wondering what on earth [Noah](TRFMTXJW) was doing.

2

When the ark was finished, God brought the animals to [Noah](TRFMTXJW), two by two. Fierce lions and gentle lambs, tall giraffes and tiny mice, waddling penguins and bounding kangaroos—all came to march up the ramp into the ark, side by side.

3

Then, the skies turned dark, and big raindrops began to fall. [Noah](TRFMTXJW) and his family, along with all the animals, climbed into the ark and shut the big wooden door just as the rainstorm roared in.

4

For forty days and forty nights, the rain pounded down. The whole earth was flooded, with water as far as the eye could see, but God kept [Noah](TRFMTXJW), his family, and all the animals safe inside the ark.

5

Finally, the rain stopped, and the sun came out! Slowly, the water began to go down, and the ark came to rest on the top of a mountain. God had kept His promise to protect everyone on board.

6

[Noah](TRFMTXJW) sent out a dove to explore. The first time, it came back with nothing, but the second time, it carried a fresh, green leaf. [Noah](TRFMTXJW) knew the earth was drying, and soon it would be safe to leave the ark!

7

When the earth was finally dry, God told [Noah](TRFMTXJW) to let everyone out! The animals ran, jumped, and flew into their new, clean world, happy to be free again.

8

Then, God made a beautiful rainbow stretch across the sky. He told [Noah](TRFMTXJW), 'This is My promise. I will never flood the whole earth again.' The rainbow was a sign of hope and love.

9

[Noah](TRFMTXJW) and his family thanked God for keeping them safe. The animals found new homes, and life began again in the beautiful world. The rainbow always reminded everyone of God’s promise.
