[Korrina](CSCQL3HS) walked home from school, her yellow backpack bouncing with each step. She loved looking around at the tall trees and colorful houses, but today something unusual caught her eye—a tipped-over trailer near the park.

1

Curious, [Korrina](CSCQL3HS) approached the trailer carefully. To her surprise, she saw a baby giraffe inside, trembling and scared. The giraffe had large, soft brown eyes and a pretty spotted coat.

2

The baby giraffe took slow, wobbly steps toward [Korrina](CSCQL3HS). It sniffed her hand and then snuggled into her, as if to say, 'I trust you.' [Korrina](CSCQL3HS) knew she couldn't leave it there.

3

[Korrina](CSCQL3HS) looked around. 'Where could you have come from?' she wondered out loud. Since there was no one nearby, she decided to take the giraffe home until she figured out what to do.

4

When [Korrina](CSCQL3HS) entered her backyard, she whispered, 'Shh, we have to keep you hidden.' She quickly created a cozy spot for the giraffe in the garden shed using some old blankets.

5

Soon, [Korrina](CSCQL3HS) discovered something she hadn't expected—the baby giraffe had a rather... unique smell! 'Oh no,' she giggled, 'you definitely need a bath!'

6

After the bath, [Korrina](CSCQL3HS) wrapped the giraffe in a big towel. She realized it wasn't so easy to hide a giraffe from her family. 'How am I going to explain this?' she wondered.

7

The next day, [Korrina](CSCQL3HS) saw a flyer in the park about a missing baby giraffe. It belonged to the city zoo! [Korrina](CSCQL3HS) felt a little sad but knew what she had to do.

8

[Korrina](CSCQL3HS) walked the giraffe to the zoo with her dad. The zookeeper thanked her with a big smile and let her visit the giraffe anytime she wanted. [Korrina](CSCQL3HS) felt proud of her decision.

9

From then on, [Korrina](CSCQL3HS) visited the giraffe often, knowing their adventure had formed a lifelong friendship. She smiled, remembering how it all began.
