[Henry Houdini](R6NQYLZ9) loved to roam, but now he's older, he stays at home. His fur's tan with bits of black, with a little red collar around his neck.

Half blind and half deaf, yet still so spry, his spirit's as bright as the midday sky. But each night there's trouble from next door, when sneaky Tom the cat enters the door.

Tom with his whiskers and sly green eyes, tiptoes around to gather his prize. He steals Henry's toys and sometimes his treats, disappearing swiftly down the streets.

One night as Tom sneaked inside, Henry opened his twinkling eyes wide. 'Who's that prowling around my floor?' thought brave old Henry from the core.

Quiet as a whisper, slow and keen, Henry began his secret scene. With a small bark and little yap, he attempted to set a trap.

Tom paused and turned with wide surprise, as old dog Henry met his eyes. With a graceful leap, Tom dashed for the door, but Henry followed with paws that implore.

Through the yard and into the night, this dog-and-cat chase was quite a sight. The moon their witness, shining so bright, as they ran under stars' gentle light.

As dawn approached and the chase wore thin, Tom saw the kindness of the dog within. He stopped, then meowed, 'I meant no harm, just needed some place to feel warm.'

Henry barked, not with a scold, but with a welcome that made Tom feel bold. ‘Come in through the door but let's be fair. We’ll share my treats and even the chair!’

Since that night, they'd often play, sharing the wonders of each new day. Though Henry no longer roamed far and wide, with Tom beside, adventure was alive.
